The Walled Garden
If you’re looking for a great day out in North-East Scotland, visit our beautiful Walled Garden at Gordon Castle, which is being lovingly restored to its former glory. Over two hundred years old, it is one of Scotland's largest and oldest walled gardens. With 259 espaliered fruit trees including some rare varieties that gives the keen gardener plenty to admire.
It is a place of beauty and calm for all to enjoy and has been re-designed by multi award-winning garden designer Arne Maynard to give a modern twist in a traditional design. This productive Walled Garden changes with the Scottish seasons making each visit different. You can see our dedicated team of gardeners hard at work, digging, hoeing, sowing or harvesting. The new childrens natural play area evolves continually so it really is a great place for a perfect family day out in Speyside.

The Cafe
For great home cooked food visit our Walled Garden Cafe, nestled on the site of a 19th century greenhouse in the heart of the Garden. Delightful and delicious seasonal Scottish dishes are prepared with care and plenty of flair using the finest local ingredients, so fresh you may see some being picked from our Garden before they reach your plate. Come and enjoy coffee, a homemade lunch, afternoon tea, or a top notch dinner, whilst watching the garden grow from the restaurant's ceiling to floor windows. It is best to book if you want to guarantee your place. You can see the regularly changing seasonal menus online. A feast for the senses, for the whole family.....There's a childrens menu and plenty of vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options too.
Directions
The main entrance to Gordon Castle is situated at the western end of the village of Fochabers on the A96. approximately nine miles east of Elgin and twelve miles west of Keith.
From Perth, take the north bound A9 to Aviemore, then follow the A95, A941 and A96 to Fochabers
