3 day Isle of Arran tour
This is a PRIVATE BESPOKE 3 day tour. Join us on this wonderful Scottish tour and enjoy a authentic experience on your Journey through the Scotland.
Sit back relax and enjoy the start of this wonderful tour as we depart Edinburgh with our first stop being the 18th century Culzean Castle in Ayrshire. Perched on dramatic cliffs, you will have time to explore this wonderful castle.
The tour then makes its way to what we call in Scotland “Burns Country”. Robert Burns, also known familiarly as Rabbie Burns, is regarded as the national poet of Scotland and is celebrated worldwide.
The tour will stop at his birthplace in Alloway and you will have the opportunity to visit the visitor centre to learn more about this remarkable man.
After we journey to Ardrossan to catch the ferry to the Isle of Arran.
Day 2
The isle of Arran is a magical island, full of wildlife, mountains, beautiful beaches, castles and whisky.
When creating this private tour we will explore the options that best fit your group. You could explore the mountainous north of the island and maybe Lochranza Castle with a chance to enjoy a dram at the Arran Distillery.
Tobermory is the biggest town on the island of Mull and has the most attractive, colourful painted houses overlooking the pretty harbour. There is a number of great traditional pale houses dotted along the harbour road coupled with a choice of seafood cafes.
Mull also boasts an amazing castle, Duart, this could be an option to add to your itinerary.
Arran is also has many stone circles dating from the early Bronze age. You can visit Machrie Moor and its six stone circles, enjoying the incredible atmosphere that can only be found at these Neolithic cites.
No tour to the island would be complete without a visit to the Arran Cheese Shop, a family-owned business that’s now famous all over the world.
Day 3
The next morning, we head back on the ferry to the main land form Lochranza and Claonaig. This ferry journey takes us onto the Kintyre Peninsula.
We will then drive the coastal route to the quaint village of Tarbert.
From Tarbert, you follow Loch Fyne toward the village of Inveraray, where you have free time to explore and have lunch. The tour then takes you over the ‘The Rest and be Thankful’ mountain pass.
The final stop on the tour is the bonnie banks of Loch Lomond with a stop at the incredible little village of Luss. After we then take you back to your accommodation.

An exhaustive knowledge of Scotland also means that we are able to drop the itinerary for that unexpected magical detour.
