Located in the west coast of Lewis, the 5,000 year old Callanish Stones are famous all over the world.
The Calanais Standing Stones (or Callanish in its anglicised form) is a cruciform shaped stone circle, erected 5000 years and standing the elemental weather of the Outer Hebrides, there is much mystery surrounding their inception. Whilst it was most likely an astronomical observatory and a place of ritual activity, we invite you to visit us and uncover the mystery for yourself.
