500 years of history has been lovingly restored and renovated into five-star boutique accommodation without comprimising on the integrity of the original building. This really is the perfect antidote to modern living - there's no better place to revive your batteries or host a get-together of family and friends.
Built in the 1540s, the striking Grade A-listed tower house is full of authentic medieval castle charm – from the spiral staircase that winds its way through the heart of the building to the enormous crackling fire in the Great Hall. Now fitted with all the amenities of a 21st century home, the exclusive use self-catered venue has five en-suite bedrooms (sleeping up to 11 guests) and four reception rooms - ample room for relaxing and socialising. No guest has ever failed to have the most restful, cosy night’s sleep in the stunningly comfortable Duxiana beds!
- There are four double bedrooms in the main Tower, with the Master Bedroom the highlight, and a fifth in the extended wing. All rooms except one can be presented as twins, with the room in the extended wing able to accommodate z-beds for family purposes. Travel cots can also be provided.
- The lower floor of the open-plan byre provides excellent function space for weddings, business meetings, celebratory dinners and other activities.
- The south-west facing walled garden is a true delight. Whether soaking up the sun on the terrace, playing croquet on the lawn or picking apples from the orchard trees, the garden is a magical place to enjoy. It is also a secure environment for little ones to experience camping out under the stars.
