Fine dining at Glenapp Castle's award winning restaurant is a truly unique experience. The Executive Chef and his team have created a truly memorable dining experience which includes mouth-watering canapés, perfectly brewed coffee, and home-made petits fours. The fine three-course gourmet dinner and the seven-course tasting menu are bursting with local produce, and whichever you choose, we believe you will enjoy the authenticity and flair of the cuisine, in the gracious surroundings of the Castle's elegant dining rooms. Many of the ingredients come from our very own kitchen garden within the estate, which consists of our 150 foot long glasshouse and our walled garden and polytunnels.
Moreover, Afternoon Tea at Glenapp is an exquisite experience and the Castle is the most idyllic of settings for this quintessential British tradition. This sweet and savoury symphony offers complete relaxation, where time feels almost suspended, in a moment of true indulgence. What a relaxing way to while away an afternoon with friends or with family, enjoying a selection of speciality teas, coffees, beautifully crafted sandwiches, patisserie cakes, and, of course, homemade scones with clotted cream and chef’s jam. Perhaps even a glass of champagne!
Within the Glenapp grounds a few moments from the Castle is one of Scotland’s finest walled gardens dating back in its origins to 1832. Here sits the restored original Victorian McKenzie and Moncur Glasshouse, known as the Azalea Glasshouse & Bothy, which is one of only a few remaining in Scotland including a similar Glasshouse situated in the King's Balmoral Estate. Overlooking a Monet style landscape, with bi-folding glass doors and outdoor seating, this is the perfect space for private dining and celebrations.
