A large fresh water loch that cuts through the middle of Bute, Loch Fad is particularly popular with fly fishers. Meaning Loch Long in Gaelic, it's renowned for its rainbow and brown trout. It has been designated as a SSSI (Site of Specific Scientific Interest) for the diversity of its plant and bird life.
