Basic camping pods in Scotland

Basic camping pods are usually unfurnished with either sleeping platforms or floor mattresses ready for you to lay your own sleeping bags. These pods also have electric lights and charging sockets, and sometimes there will be an electric heater for those chillier nights.

Basic glamping pods are great for backpackers, cyclists, hillwalkers, or those just looking for a budget getaway, and are usually found on campsites with showers and cooking or BBQ facilities. Most basic glamping pods will also have outdoor seating, or you can always open the door and watch the world go by.

They are great if you are looking for cheap glamping options in Scotland.

Eco pods in Scotland

Made with sustainable materials, eco pods offer the chance to get back to nature from rustic pods with nothing but a floor to sleep on, to posh eco pods with solar panels and wood-fired hot tubs.

Why not stock up for your camping pod holidays with local Scottish food & drink.

Luxury camping pods in Scotland

Glamping doesn't have to be basic, some glamping pods offer incredibly stylish accommodation with luxury ensuite shower rooms, cosy double beds, kitchens with mod cons, TVs and sofas - maybe even a wood-burning stove for toasting marshmallows!

Luxury pods are great for couples or friend groups looking for a camping pod holidays, as many sleep up to four people. Your glamping pod may even come with its own hot tub, perfect for relaxing and stargazing.

Are glamping pods suitable for families?

Looking to introduce the kids to camping, but can't face putting up the tent? Try a large glamping pod. Sleeping up to six they are perfect for family adventures. There's no need to squeeze everything into the car - your glamping pod will have everything you need - including mini kitchens, kettles, and toasters.

Some family camping pods even have space for a toilet and shower, so there's no need to traipse the kids outdoors in the night. Outside there will be space for everyone to run around, and fire pits or BBQs to cook dinner, and often lots of on-site family-friendly facilities.

Glamping pods are incredibly popular and can be found all across the country. Find them along Scotland's national walking and cycling routes, like the West Highland Way, or in family-friendly holiday parks on Scotland's coast. As glamping pods are often off-grid, they can also be found in beautiful remote locations, right on the banks of lochs, deep in the forest or up in the mountains.

Below is some inspiration about where to go glamping in Scotland:
