The 155th Open at St Andrews Old Course

Calling all golf fans! The 155th Open will take place at The Old Course in St Andrews from 11-18 July 2027. The Championship will return to the home of golf for the first time since 2022, when Cameron Smith produced a final round 64 to lift the famous Claret Jug.

History at The Home of Golf

St Andrews is for many the spiritual home of golf, with a heritage stretching back over five centuries. The Old Course, the world's oldest golf course, is perhaps the ultimate stage in golf. The Open has been hosted here 30 times, creating countless memories for fans across the world.

Bobby Jones centenary 

2027 marks the centenary of Bobby Jones' remarkable 1927 victory at The Old Course. The legendary American amateur’s six-shot victory, successfully defending his title from the previous year, remains etched in golfing folklore.  

Legends of the game 

Golfing superstars including Jack Nicklaus, Seve Ballesteros, Nick Faldo, and Tiger Woods have all been crowned Champion Golfer of the Year on these hallowed fairways.
